It’s easy when we have busy schedules to believe that there is no time for professional or personal development. The reality is there are an abundance of opportunities in each given day to squeeze in knowledge attainment. In our Next Generation Marketing, Inc culture, we emphasize learning, through both formal and casual means. Here are some ways to incorporate this into our daily routines.
Reading is a great way to absorb knowledge no matter how much available time we have. As we’ve noted in our Next Generation Marketing, Inc meetings, we can find 10 to 15 minutes each day to read a chapter of a book, newspaper and online articles, or journals. Similar to written literature, auditory learners can listen to a podcast or a book on tape while they are engaged in physical activities such as chores or workouts.
We often refer to TED Talks and how-to videos in our Next Generation Marketing, Inc workspace. We can try to occasionally substitute mindless TV with something more geared toward learning.
For all these options, the best practice would be to make note of what we want to learn first, then seek materials to concentrate on this topic.
Learning is a lifelong process. We just need to make it a priority in our lives. Follow us on Twitter for more tips on how to acquire knowledge, even on the go.
